Prime Minister Hashim Thaci said today that the local elections to be
held in autumn in northern Kosovo citizens can vote with identification
documents they have.
In the show "Slobodno srpski" (loosely Serbian), which is broadcast
on Serbian television networks in Kosovo, Thaci has denied the
information in local elections to be held in autumn, citizens can vote
only documents of the Republic of Kosovo.
"No, this is not true. This is only a negative message to people in
the north fear. Citizens can vote with identification documents they
have, of course, with other documents current and could not complete all
procedures, all administrative commitments over the past five-six

Regarding the Association of Serb-majority municipalities, Thaci said
that this mechanism is open to all municipalities who want to join.

of the citizens, adding that this will be when it comes to the proposal
for the regional police commander in the north.
Thaci has said it will also form teams and preparation for elections

Thaci called on Serbs in the north of Brussels agreement to see how

Citing one of the main points of agreement, free movement of people
and goods, the Minister said that it is not in anyone's interest to
exist barricades. He expressed hope that the barricades will be removed
and the solution will be found goodwill in consultation with the
citizens of the north.
He pointed out that under the Brussels agreement and under the
Constitution, citizens of Kosovo have the right to dual citizenship.
